  • Downtown and Historic Districts
    This is the downtown filled with nice restaurants, quaint shops, trees, and cheer. The pedestrian friendly area also features offices and a wharf and beach. Moving inland one finds the historic district with houses around a century old and a low key small town atmosphere.

    This is the campus of Western Washington University and the nearby, student populated, areas. It's north of the downtown and historic areas and within walking distance of most of Bellingham's conveniences.

    In the south town fades into county with little distinction save the technical city limit signs. Houses just keep getting further and further apart until they suddenly seem to be surrounded by forest.

  • Suburbs of the North and East
    To the north lie the golf course and larger homes. The east holds many little boxes built for those brave boys returning home from the fronts in east and west.
