Z can get you there. You just have to be ...careful.

Side note. Where did the "Cold iron can't be the target of contracts" think come from? House rule?

House rule from Jared. Partialy comes from his expirence with oChangling where cold iron was anti-magic, partly to avoid the problem of any one dot contract that effects items becoming the anti-cold iron. Vaugly supported by a few Contracts that reference not being able to produce/effect iron.

Note that only the cold iron itself can't be targeted, it does not protect its environment. So those wearing the cold iron rings still can contract at will on each other, and use other magical benefits (like the crowns, tokens, and blessings, even harvesting glamour).

It also means Fae can use Vainglory on anyone, but couldn't use a contract to vaporize the ring, for example.

One would want to be careful which hand is used to knock a hedge gate open though, I think. Striking the door with cold iron likely doesn't count as a knock.

My statement stands.

Use words, not acronyms. It takes one hell of a lot longer to explain that shit than it does to type the words.

Indeed; acronyms and net-speech inhibit understanding.

Here's a thought: if somebody has a cold iron ring and is doing battle against a group of fae creatures, can he still meet the catch for Stone 1?
With a heave-hi, lurkin' off the shore!
As wily as a devil with a couple vices more!
And with a ho-hi, from the pilots to the swabs
He's the finest of the pirates and they call him Captain Hobbes!

Yes, the ring is NOT the changeling. Simply wearing cold Iron does not restrict you from being magical, it just does agg to Fae if it touches them.

So, wearing a cold iron ring allows you to do agg to the grop with brawl attacks (if the ring is on the brawling hand), on top of fuffiling stone's catch.
