Buisness as usual

Altho St. Elmo's Bar doesn't look like much from the outside it's quite the lively drinking establishment.

On the contrary, she gets invited in by another patron, one made of light in lieu of fire.

"Hello there. Haven't seen you in awhile. Share a booth?"

Ishtar greets her Fairest kin Mr. Black and asks, as if making a request of a family member, for a gin and tonic.

As always the gentleman he smiles and welcomes the pair
"So true, any time apart from such singular beauty is a long long while; and as long as she is with you Looks at Sera and relaxes I dont see a problem."
He gestures towards his usual booth
"A moment while I talk to the bartender"

The bartender looks up at Byron as he approaches the bar with a smile which turns to a frown as Byron talks but by the time the drinks are made he is smiling and shaking his head

"Here you are ladies, a gin and tonic for the brightest star of the night and a Brandy for the wildest fire in Bisbee"

He serves the drinks and takes a seat

"So, how was the adventure?"

Ishtar smiles brightly but shrugs as she settles into the booth for privacy.

Turning to Sara,
"We visited the Hinterlands under a conjunction," nodding to the pair of planets 3° apart, her namesake and the God of gods.

"At least nobody died. Cheers." She offers up her glass and then takes a sip, thanks Mr. Black, and sums up. "Killed a zombie, or a human, couldn't really tell, you understand. Lost another one to the underpants gnomes. Crushed by the thorns when our trod disappeared. Crawled around in there lost for awhile. Hid from a faerie. Had a colleague panic. Went to the hospital, which is another kind of magical adventure. Mr. Pilgrim got what he wanted, though! Another career success. Here's to 'facilitating.'" She takes another drink, a rainbow of light between the glass and the table.

"So Sara, haven't seen you since me and Eddy left you at police HQ. How'd that go?"

"Okay, fine. Good." Shrugs looking less pleased than usual. "You?"

He seems to enjoy the story as he savors his drink

"My sounds quite the adventure; but not one that would be my cup of tea. Do you plan on doing things like this often? or are your visions of your future here different?"

"I do have a peculiar relationship with time. Comes from being a celestial body." She finishes her glass.

"But no, no visions, no prophecy, not tonight. Making a business escorting convoys through the Hinterlands is a purely conscious decision." She sets the lowball glass face-down on the middle of the table.

"Speaking of, I was planning on leading rather than escorting my next. Fast Eddie gave me a profitable idea." She touches the glass just so, turning it into a gestalt Disco ball, prismatic light filling the booth.

"The catch: I have to go home." She spins the lowball glass. The colors of the rainbow dance across space. People begin to notice.

"And you can't go home." She catches the glass. It stops spinning, and the light goes out.

Byron sets down his glass, brow wrinkled
"Go home? what in the world do you mean? Is this not home here? He gestures to the bar and the world at large Home is where you make it my dear; where there are friends and family and where you can rest your head in peace and safety. What other home could you be referring?"

The spring courtier looks genuinely baffled
"If there is anything you require to feel more at home here with your brethren indicates himself and Sera please let me know. It is, after all, my duty to make everyone feel more at home."
