Date at the Willow Room

Welcome to the fertile Firth of Forth, to the beautiful city of Edinburgh, where the Fallen find their path from hell or stumble back the way they came.
Welcome to the Isle of the Fallen.

"No, no, just a simple man with a braw smile who does a demanding job with quite some renown, or so I'm told. But you know what I wasn'a told?"

"That you were quite so charming in the doing of it." She retreats happily into her menu.

He laughs a bit, then shrugs. "Lena never told me you were so pretty, so we are even."

Latharna lets hit comment stand for a moment, pausing to consider her order. "I'm a wee bit surprised you agreed to meet me, what convinced you?"

"I don't get out very much, my job is very demanding." He explains, "Most of the women I meet are crazy or murderous or just lost someone. So, to be honest I didn't need too much convincing."

She makes a knowing look. "What rotten luck. I work at the hospice ward, so most of the people I meet are dying or accepting the death of a loved one. I love my profession, but it does leave little time for family, friends or pleasantly creative introductions."

"If you dinna mind my asking, what are you working on now?"

"Yeah I get that." He says in response to her statement about her work, "I can't really go into it much, but I am a homicide Inspector."

"Dead and dying... aren't we a cheery pair!" She laughs. "I can only imagine how intense work such as that is. But then I suppose figuring out what happend to a deed man is sommat akin to helpin others accept their or their loved one's departure. Just workin at it from the other end, so to speak"

He laughs and nods, "Yeah I can see that. I try to give people closure when I can."
